(More customer reviews)This was a good selection for me because I specifically did not want a whistling kettle, and I am tired of the decay and discoloration I've experienced with metal tea kettles. Other reviewers are right - it seems flimsy, especially the handle, so I set my electric stove setting on medium, not medium high, as I used to. It does seem to boil water more quickly, but that may just be my perception, since I could never actually see the water boiling in the metal tea kettles.
I'll use it as long as it lasts, but I am concerned about how easily it might break, especially the handle. Another negative - if you tip it all the way to empty the last drop of water, the cover falls off. If I were the manufacturer, I would offer an optional whistle, make the handle more substantial and design a more secure cover.
