(More customer reviews)We purchased this kitchenaid range two years ago when we built our house. We wanted a range with a gas stovetop and an electric oven. This unit appeared to fit the bill perfectly, and we had always been pleased with our kitchenaid mixer.
Ownership of this monster has been a nightmare. It broke within the first couple of weeks. The oven just blinked an "error" message on the screen. Fixing it the first time took MANY months. While this first set of problems was covered under warranty, it required someone to stay home from work to let the repairman in. It took at least a dozen visits from the repair shop before it was finally working.
Just last week the heating element went out in the oven. This is a stove barely two years old. Again, it was somewhat of an ordeal to get it fixed, and this time it was not under warranty.
When you read the brochure, this range has all the bells and whistles you could possibly want. The problem is that since we have had it it seems like it has been broken more than it has been working.
The range is poorly engineered, and has terrible reliability. Run, while you still can!
