(More customer reviews)This is the standard round hot surface igniter made by Surface Igniter Corporation (SIC, formerly Carborundum) that fits most GE gas ovens. It takes the place of the Whirlpool 4342528, GR401 through GR406, GE WB2X9154, WB13K0003, WB13K0004, etc. It includes two ceramic wirenuts, so you can splice it into the existing wires going to you old igniter. You have to retain the old ignitor wires because they go to special connectors that plug into the stove wiring. Make sure you cut the wires into your old igniter right at your old igniter because the wires on the new ignitor are not long enough to reach all the way to the mating stove connectors. Although SIC still makes the original ignitors, complete with the original connectors, SIC sells them only to the stoves' manufacturers. The stove manufacturers' replacement parts divisions do not bother stocking the exact igniters for replacement. The parts divisions stock only the replacements (like this one) that require you to reuse the old connectors by splicing into the wires that went into the old igniter.
