(More customer reviews)I never liked the wood block knife holders. Seems like they were designed to tip over and besides they take up counter space. Wusthof is a very reputable brand and this knife magnet bar lives up to the reputation. Easy to install, keeps your knives nice & handy, well made. The only complaint came from my wife, "It's looks cluttered to have the knives out like that". I disagree, better than the wood block to me. Hope this helps.
