(More customer reviews)it is what it is, a valve. However when i attached a propane cylinder to the valve, it was leaking through the valve and it was closed tightly. So i (easily) disassembled the knob and found that there was no gasket/O-ring to completely seal off the valve inside. I was able to create my own gasket and reassemble it. Right now it works as it should. I would assume the missing gasket was a mistake.

Turned out to be a problem with a full propane tank. After that I didn't trust the regulator so I purchased this one. It works fine.
