(More customer reviews)This is stainless steel so needless to say, it's durable. It doesn't mean it is indestructable but you can stop worry about breaking it if you drop it on the floor or when you wash it with hard detergents. It comes with 2 height adjusters (for the Mr. Coffee spring-load flow stopper). My apology for not getting all the terminologies right. I bought this to replace my 4-cup carafe and the small adjuster works fine.
I have a nit-pick with the design. The spout is too shallow, consequently, the carafe doesn't pour right. What happens is that when you pour the coffee, the shallow spout doesn't give a fast enough flow so the coffee will get to the level of the lid. Subsequently, it will pour coffee on the side of the carafe.
Solutions: 1) pour slowly. I hold the lid up and pour the coffee a bit more slowly. 2) If you're a handy person, get a little hammer and a small round rod, tap the spout to widen it and deepen it a bit.
