(More customer reviews)I bought this for my mother for Christmas and she loves it. She loves Rachael Ray and blue so she may be biased but I cooked with it several times while visiting after Christmas and found myself wanting one. It's a good size to cook a meal for 4 like spaghetti or soup. The only complaint I have is the lid didn't quite fit in the pan when we first opened it but my dad bent it back into shape easily (it wasn't that out of shape, just slightly). The oval shape is nice but sometimes can be a pain as it takes up a good portion of your stove. I would still suggest this item though .

But as I started to read the instructions, I discovered that this porcelain cookware is not recommended for ceramic or glass top stove tops. So unfortunately this will be going back. I wish they had put that in the description. But this pot is very BIG, and would have made my life so much easier with feeding my family of 6!

(More customer reviews)I received this cookware December 06 and have been cooking with it everyday since then. It is truly an amazing cookware set. It goes from stove top to oven with no problem. It looks nice hanging on my pot rack in my kitchen even after all of the use it gets from me and my family. The pots cook evenly and the food does not stick making clean up spectacularly fast and easy. I was lucky enough to receive and add to my collection this past Christmas the larger, deep oval skillet for large family dinners. I highly recommend this set for anyone from beginning cooks to very experienced ones.

(More customer reviews)I have Lupus, and suffer from the growing loss of mobility in all of my limbs. I love to cook, but have struggled to continue using my expensive cookware because it is now too heavy for me to safely manage.
I have agonized over this development and had feared that I would be forced to replace my cookware with really thin (light and cheap) aluminum pots and pans. If so, I knew I would be giving up a lot of cooking flexibility and the quality I had learned to rely on and love.
At least, I thought that until Rachael Ray put out her imaginative cooking line! Not only does this five-quart oval saute cook like a dream, it weighs about half of what my other cookware does, has that great helper handle to lift it and serve the contents, and cleans easier than ANY pan that I own at any price.
As a result, I can continue to do what I love -- cooking -- despite my illness! When you're disabled, you have to give up a lot of things that had been meaningful in your life, not to mention independence. I applaud ANY product that is disabled-compatible.
In reading the reviews for this great pan, I hadn't noticed anyone raving about its weight. For folks like me, that's a really huge deal.

(More customer reviews)I bought the pan because I was in the market for a griddle type pan, and I was really interested in the new oval shapes in cookware. I enjoy Rachael Ray's show and follow quite a few of her recipes, and that orange trim really caught my eye, so I bought it.
Other than the fact that I wish the handle were on the shorter end rather than centered at the widest point, (because maneuvering can be tricky unless you have a huge rangetop), I'm pleased with the way it cooks. I'm lucky enough with a large enough kitchen that I can leave it out, because it's rather eye-catching, (I bought the saute' pan too, with the lid) and I find myself using it more and more often. It's great for searing. I made wonderful porkchops last night. I recommend it if you don't want to spend a fortune, but still want those nice grill marks in a pan.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Rachael Ray 10-Piece Porcelain Enamel Coodware Set in Blue at the end of December 2007. The handles are securely attached. The pans are just the right weight....not too heavy and not too light. The stay cool handles are terrific. The non-stick surface is awesome...the food slides right off. The see-through lids are great so you can keep an eye on whats cooking. It has the look and feel of expensive cookware but is very reasonably priced. The only thing that I didnt know before I purchased this item was that it is not recomended to cook on high with a glass top stove. I guess the enamel can fuse to the cook top. I have a glass top stove and at first I was concerned. I cook with this cookware set on Medium High instead of high. I have not had a problem at all. In fact, I used to burn meals in my old cookware but now that I dont use high heat to cook with I have not burned a single meal! If you are looking for great cookware with outstanding quality then I highly recomend the Rachael Ray 10-Piece Porcelain Enamel Cookware Set.
******And just to add a note to my original review back in Februay 2008.......I have now owned this set for a little over 2 yrs (its now 2010) and it is still just as great as it was when I first purchased it. I am very careful that I dont use metal utensils with this set. I only use wooden or nylon (plastic) utensils which I think contributes to the long life of any non stick cookwear set.******
