But as I started to read the instructions, I discovered that this porcelain cookware is not recommended for ceramic or glass top stove tops. So unfortunately this will be going back. I wish they had put that in the description. But this pot is very BIG, and would have made my life so much easier with feeding my family of 6!

The first time I used this roaster, it was my best turkey ever...perfect color and flavor, and finished on time! Also, it's sturdy and easy to heft in and out of the oven, unlike the back-breaking stainless steel monstrosity. 17 stars!

(More customer reviews)I've used these to bake everything from a rump roast to Shepard's pie, and they are fantastic. Nice and thick porcelain meaning no burnt bottoms and a breeze to clean. The large pot will hold a 6lb roast with no problems. The smaller one is perfect for side dishes like green bean casserole or baked beans. Best part is they are pleasing to the eye and make a perfect serving dish...straight from the oven to the table.

(More customer reviews)This pan just arrived in the mail and I'm delighted with it. For years, I've been using a large, porcelain broiler pan that came with my first range. This new pan is ideal for everyday meals for two people. And it won't be a dishwasher hog.
I read the review that warned about grease sticking to the pan. Porcelain is notorious for that. But it's safe for using with the high heat of a broiler. So I'll line the bottom of the pan with foil and then spritz the top slotted broil tray with cooking spray. That'll take care of the issue.

When I ordered this pan I didn't realize that the bottom piece is so deep and doubles as a baking pan. It's going to be helpful for baking vegetable dishes or desserts at the same time as roasts.
