(More customer reviews)Fits perfect on my Hearthstone Clydesdale insert. Blends in well also. My shelf dimension is five & a quarter inches & it fits perfectly, no overhang. A little expensive but Made in America providing jobs for Americans, I like that. The only thing that surprised me was that you're advised to not use the water for consumption, strictly for putting humidity in the air. Guess I'll have to stick with the microwave for my tea.

(More customer reviews)We have only used our kettle for 3 days now, and although it really works in terms of letting off steam, it has a funny cast iron smell that goes along with it. Still a fun novelty piece, but certainly not the thing to do if you want a serious humidifier.

This low-tech humidifier looks great on the woodstove, and there is no worry about it breaking down. I'm sure it will outlast us all. Use it for potpourri or just add clear water for humidity. Two.
