(More customer reviews)my roommate had the ten-cup version of this. it was super fancy and had a brown rice button. and was just way too big. so when he moved out, i got this little cooker. it's marvelous. it does everything the larger version does (including making brown rice), but it also has a removable inside cover, which makes clean up easier, and it takes up less space! i never need to make more than four cups of rice at a time, so it's perfect for me.

(More customer reviews)I was looking for a double burner to replace a single coil burner. I went with this one because the the cast-iron heaters are 6-1/2" and 71/2" to accommodate both large and small pans, which make it safer. We like it OK, but it is slow to heat up.

If you purchase this item, be certain you purchase the small appliance replacement warranty from Amazon.. because the manufacturer certainly will not replace it!
