(More customer reviews)I am extremely pleased with my purchase of the Presto 07034 Jumbo Cool Touch Electric Griddle. For a long time, I have used basic stovetop frying pans to cook such things as scrambled eggs, fried eggs, pancakes, French toast, hash browns and a variety of other grilled foods. Unfortunately, the typical frying pan usually isn't large enough to cook larger amounts, so you end up spending more time cooking smaller portions. Not so with the Presto 07034 Jumbo Cool Touch Electric Griddle. With its 10-1/2 by 20-1/2-inch cooking surface, it has twice as much cooking area than a typical stove-top circular frying pan and lack of sides makes turning cooking items much easier. Its non-stick surface ensures that food doesn't get stuck while cooking and makes cleaning the grill a snap! Also, it cooks foods more evenly than my stovetop frying pans ever did!
Overall, I rate the Presto 07034 Jumbo Cool Touch Electric Griddle with a resounding 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it. If you have a relatively small kitchen, you may have some problems storing it. If this is true, see if you can rearrange things a bit because the time saved by using the Presto 07034 Jumbo Cool Touch Electric Griddle is well worth it!

Rachael Ray Cast Iron Double Burner Grid Multiple Colors Available Review

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased the Rachael Ray grill/griddle, and I will say that it is what one should expect from a grill: even heating and thorough cooking. Initially, I was concerned about considerable smoking, and whether I had enough ventilation in my apartment, but it turns out the grill smokes very little with chicken and lean cuts of beef and a little more with ground beef patties--but not too much, so long as one has an open window nearby.
Being cast iron, it is a bit difficult to clean. I soak mine for about ten minutes in hot water and then scrub with the harder side of a sponge (without using soap, as this should not be used on cast iron, in order to keep the seasoning)--and this usually does the trick. There are marks here and there, but overall it is clean. Immediately after, I pat dry and place it back over the cool burners, where I heat the grill back up for about five minutes to dry any remaining water, so the product does not rust.
The griddle is wonderful and much easier to clean, and makes pancakes perfectly.
I would certainly recommend this to anyone wishing to have an indoor grill.
***Update***
After three weeks of use, I was pre-heating the grill over medium heat, when it suddenly--and loudly--cracked down the side and into the grill and griddle. This is certainly not the way cast iron should operate, and so I contacted consumer relations, who is in charge of the warranty service, and was told I would receive a replacement for the defected product within 5-15 days. Barring this, the rest of the review still holds. And I will maintain the four star rating (1) because of the product's grilling ability and (2) because of the prompt replacement of the defection.

Have purchased other double burner griddles and they didn't fit my stove because the handles were in the way. The handles on this griddle are molded, low profile and don't get in the way. The defrost feature is great. I start the defrost in my microwave and finsh on the griddle. No cooked spots on the meat and the defrost time is incredibly short. Great product. (More customer reviews)I searched for years for a grill pan that would function as a stove top broiler, leaving grill marks on meat and fish. They were available for all range tops, but mine, which has a smooth glass top. I needed an absolutely flat bottomed grill pan. The Berndes Milestone is exactly as I would have designed a pan for my needs. It has the broiler-like ribs in the interior, but a flat bottom for the stove top. The pan is no lightweight, coming in at 4.5 lbs on my digital scale. Even though it has a non-stick interior, I think it cleans up best if a light brushing of oil is applied before grilling. I've pan broiled everything from filet mignon, salmon, hot dogs, to Jaccard meat tenderized chuck strips and everything has cooked exactly as I desired.

(More customer reviews)Creuset makes the best enameled cast iron cookware on the planet and this oval fish skillet is no exception. It's dimensions however, while being great for cooking a whole fish, require the use of 2 burners (medium size) adjacent to each other. I have a Viking cook top and the largest burner is not capable of heating the pan out to the far edges of the oval, in spite of Creuset's legendary ability to distribute heat evenly. If you don't have 2 adjacent medium sized burners on your cook top, this pan is not the right choice for you. The photos suggest a shape that is circular and just slightly out of round, but this is a very serious oval. Make a template using the published dimensions to be sure this is the right pan for you before ordering.

Bayou Classic 7414 14" Round Cast Iron Reversible Griddle Review

(More customer reviews)The first delivery proved it's fragility when there was a chip on the rim of the grill side, allowing any fluids to seep through.
Amazon, themselves, were wonderful. They provided shipping back to their facility and send out another identical product in it's place at no additional charge to myself.
The second arrived unscathed. On the second run of making quesadillas; we hear a loud shatter type sound. The unit must of had a weak spot and caused a 4 inch long crack from edge inward toward center of unit rendering it useless.
In the end; the unit is not to par and I recommend Lodge Pro Logic Pizza Pan which serves same as griddle (no grill side(obviously)). Worth it

Although I prefer the company's traditional hard-anodized professional line, I bought this nonstick double griddle because Calphalon does not make a fully hard-anodized griddle. The rectangular pan easily covers two burners and is great for making pancakes, grilled sandwiches, eggs - whenever you need a large flat cooking surface.
I have a gas range, and I find that the heat does not distribute as evenly as I'd like, though it's adequate for most cooking purposes. Cooks with electric ranges might get better results with their more radiant burner system. The uneven heating is in part due to the pan's design since it spans two burners with obviously a gap between two heat sources. However, you can't beat this useful griddle for cooking of a batch of pancakes or other family meals more quickly than you would with one pan. The nonstick surface has proven to be durable, and the pan itself is extremely sturdy.
If you are looking for a griddle and often have to juggle two pans to accommodate one recipe, this product is for you. Make sure you have a large enough storage area for it, though, as you don't want your other metal pans to scratch the non-stick surface. (I store mine on its side in one of my deeper cabinets.) From handle to handle, the pan measures 23"; it is about 11" wide.
As griddles go, this is one of the best. Don't settle for a thin-walled one if you are a serious cook.

I got nine 2oz slider burgers on it with plenty of room to grill the onions on the side. Simple green-pad cleanup, and I use a wipe-on cast iron treatment before storage.

Silverstone® Heritage Lefse Grill Review

(More customer reviews)I got my Bethany Housewares Heritage Grill with Teflon finish for making lefse. I've used it 5 or 6 times for that and it works great.
Better yet, it is the best grill I've ever had for frying eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, pancakes, or cooking just about anything else that's grilled. The non-stick finish means it's not necessary to use more than a light brush of oil to fry eggs, hash browns or other food that contain little grease of their own.
And the Teflon seems indestructible. My grill has been used almost daily for a year and a half, often by family members who are not as protective of the finish as I am, and it's still pristine.
Come to think of it, I'll have to take back the bit about me being the most careful one using my grill. Just the other day, I left it on with a turner on top--a turner that melted into a liquid plastic pool on the beautiful non-stick surface. But everything wiped right off once the hot plastic cooled enough for me to do the wiping. Did I mention the surface seems indestructible?
The only drawback, I suppose, is the late sixties look. That, I'm guessing, is because it's such a good product there's been no big push to change things up since the sixties. I think of it as stylishly retro and rejoice that this grill's consistency over the years means I can order replacement legs or a new probe control from Bethany Housewares if needed.
I could live without my electric fry pan or George Foreman type grill, but wouldn't want to live without my Heritage grill.

(More customer reviews)This is a very robust piece of cookware. I give it a 3 star because realistically, you'll only be able to use one side, so pick which one you will want to use and stick to it. The reason is, once you've got one side all good and seasoned, when you flip it to use the other side, that seasoning you worked hard to get will warp and you have to start over; Also, whatever you cook on the other side will taste like stove burner because that's where it's been all this time!

(More customer reviews)I purchased this Calphalon Unison Nonstick 12 Inch Round Griddle Pan along with the Calphalon Unison Nonstick 12 Inch Round Grill Pan and cannot be happier. We use this pan for everything: eggs, bacon, French toast, pancakes, vegetables, dumplings (pot stickers), I even made a batch of one-pan brownies (preparing the recipe in the pan on the stove, then sticking the pan in the oven to bake) and they came out great!
The main points for this pan are:
* Nonstick (I mean REALLY nonstick)
* Oven-safe
* Easy to clean
* Handle stays cool while cooking (except when used in the oven)
* Large size with steep sides allows for cooking almost anything but crepes
At around $50 (I paid $100 for the set of two pans) this pan is an incredible bargain. It outperforms every nonstick pan I've used in the past, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys stove-top cooking. Even if the only time you use a frying pan is for bacon and eggs in the morning, you will fall in love with Calphalon's Unison nonstick coating.
Note: As with any nonstick cookware, avoid using metal cooking utensils. I bought a heat-resistant silicone-coated spatula and set of tongs and they work perfect.

(More customer reviews)We had been searching for a double-sided griddle and decided to try this one when it appeared on Amazon.com because of the amazing price, which is significantly less than any others we have had our eye on. It arrived. I used it. And now I know why.
It is light. Too light. What this means is that I spend a bit of time chasing it around my stovetop. But the end result is pleasing - among thigs we have prepared with it are pancakes, eggs, grilled salmon and grilled cheese for my children. It is made of cast aluminum, so when it is stationary it DOES cook evenly and IS non-stick.
The more the food has to be attended to, (ie stirred, flipped, etc...), the more the griddle moves around. Now, perhaps this is due to the type of burner covers on our gas stove, but that still inidcates that this griddle is not universal.
There are a lot of things I was pleased with, though. The ease of cleaning is a definite plus - it cleans beautifully!! Also the fact that it cools down quickly after use is another nice perk in my book, especially with a houseful of curious kids who love to "help" in the kitchen.
Bottom line, if your stovetop setup would allow this to sit flat and flush against the surface (flat top electric stove) or the burner covers (gas stove), then by all means give it a shot. For the amazingly low price of this item, it is a good choice if you don't want to spend a large amount of money on an item that doesn't get used daily.
As for us, I'll continue to chase it around my stovetop until I can find a good deal on another one with slightly larger dimensions.

Imusa Non-Stick Square Griddle Pan, 11- Inch Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this pan so I could have a larger surface area for things like pancakes or french toast and went with the cheap one since I figured I would only use it occasionally for that purpose. Unfortunately, the pan is very poor quality. The cheap material is extremely thin, so it cannot heat evenly, rendering it virtually useless. Only the area directly above the burner is hot while the sides and especially the corners heat up barely enough to keep food warm (I can touch the corners with bare hands after the pan has sat on the burner for 10+ minutes). Even though it's cheap, don't bother wasting your money on this pan.
